I wanted to start a topic that everyone can join in on where they reside. Even if you live in the same city/state/country as another person here, bring something you want us to know about the place you call home.
Here is Maryland (http://www.mdisfun.org/planning_a_md_visit/aboutmd.asp)
Have questions, just ask. We are so small that they never use the arrow to point to us on any maps. The arrow would cover the state - completely. (no joke)

Oh but small in the USA is HUGE by European standards!! hehehe
I'm from LONDON UK! It's a beautiful city, buzzing with excitement. I live slightly to the north east (in Walthamstow...notorious recently for the terror raids, because of the houses searched was just up my street), and I commute every day to the center, which takes about 40 minutes from door to door from home to work.

Nothing much in my town, just really this "world famous" wheel that probably nobody has heard of. It links up two canals which I think was a complete waste of £85 million because hardly anybody uses the canal anymore

Heres my local football (soccer) team which have been doing pretty good the past few years.

All in all Falkirk is rather boring. But we find things to do

Hey Scotland played really well tonight against Lithuania. Well done! 2 out of 2, with a demolition job completed against the Feroe Island (something the French couldn't do back a few years ago...scrapped 2 awful goals that were actually offside!).
Anyway! Enough football, because I could go on all night long! LOL
Very nice pictures, it looks like a lovely place.

Nanou - you have to play. Bring a pic (laughs)
in xs - what is that last photo? Looks HUGE. Thanks you fior the images. And how did you attach them to the forum??
Ramsay - it is finished?? I mean, it looks like it is still being built but it is HUGE. And is that like a train or tram under it?? Thanks to you as well for your photo and links.

Lady Di

We have so much BIG drug busts here, we just try to ignore it in such a small place.
On the positive - Dru Hill (yeah Cisqo and crew) were singing at The Fudgery (a fudge making place in the Inner Harbor) at the same I time I worked downtown. I saw them and would watch them like every day... never knew they would bow up and fizzle away.
Oprah, when she was on People Are Talking with Richard Sher, used to visit Morgan State the same time I was a student there. She was HUGE in size and wore a HUGE FRO to go with it. She visited the campus loads. WE used to get so excited to see her b/c she actually cared about the school.
Will and Jada performed their wedding ceremony or the reception one (her Dad is/was a prominent resident attorney here, not sure about now) in this place called Village of Cross Keys... I worked at a Drs. Office over there for a lil bit.More claims to fame later. :P

Well unfortunately I am not recommending living in MD at ALL. I want to live in a place where things are open 24/7. I remember years ago when NO shops were allowed open on Sunday here in MD. Some religious ish. Anyhooooow, man, when they changed that law... it was like Christmas in the malls. (laughs) But here, everything starts closing at possibly 9pm, then 10 and by 11 all lights are OUT - DARK. Now, the only time you MIGHT see a change is weekends, a 24 hour place is now a 24 hour place and Christmas. :(
I would love to live where I can just shop any store at anytime. Not just friggin' conglomerate Walmart, the sickening 7-11, Royal Farms, and Wawa. I went to NY when I was in college for Grambling vs Morgan State game. Man, we were all over NY trying to eat, creep and some more ish. I was in love... but not that in love to move there. Cali would be nice to visit too. Just think if you had Donald Trump's $$ and you could get people out of bed to open their shops for you. I would SOOOOOOOOOOOO love that. (very evil laughs)

well, I live in Medellin, one of the most beautiful and organized cities in my country...it's full of nice people, the life quality is very good, there are lots of good looking people and it's home of of important people as the president, some sportspeople, and so on...
the weather is really good, it's near the perfect weather, around the 23 celsius (dunno i farenheit...sorry Di), but sometimes the weather increases or decreases significantly, but it mostly increases...
the mother language is spanish of course, but there's a new campaign of trying to make the city bilingual by teaching english trough public ads, the newspaper, and stuff like that...pretty amazing huh?
my city is also known for the amazing food we have, like the bandeja paisa(do you remember it Di?), the christmas lighting in all the city especially along the river that crosses the city and also the train called "Metro", which was the first modern train that was established in our country, we are so proud of it :D
well, I put some pics I found on the net...and if you want more you should type "medellin" on google and you will sure get some nice pics of my city...
well, what else can I say?? I LOVE MY CITY :D

Wow...you guys live in beautiful places...love both cities
and Di, about pic 2...that's the christmas lightings all along the river, and it gets better when you walk upstream...more lights, more stuff, awesome things to see...always, the layout of the river lights are sold to other countries, so they would have really nice christmas lighting on holydays...I guess last year the layout was sold to Japan...can you believe it?
more questions Di?
