Ok, there's all these portable music players that I want to read about. So, NOT INCLUDING CELL/MOBILE PHONES, what do you have to carry your music in? How about those portables to and from your car?? Likes about it? Dislikes? What do you want if you don't have anything?
Poor thing, she still has her CD player that has a radio on it. Does have dust bunnies on it though. I have a cassette/radio walkman still with same dust bunnies running over it. :p I do have a free (via CoNcast) 128mb?? Creative mp3 thingy that has ear buds that I hate and a 128mb?? PNY flash drive that I only store data on. They have those neck attachments. No iPods or none of that, sadly. Other than that I have nothing I guess you could say. I have some awesome headphones from Aiwa that are old but they have bass expander feature that cranks mah music.

I've gone through lots of devices...first I had a single radio with headphones, which I changed later on by a CD player that survived for like 5 years...then, I bought a 128mb memory stick that could play some music in it...
next, I got in style, I got an iPod mini, 4gb, but I got tired of it and started saving money for an iPod video, 30gb, which I still have, and it's halfway full of stuff, and I have plenty of videos and songs to listen everyday with no repetiions...I love my iPod, that's my most precious thing at the moment, without counting my PS2 ;)

Mr Romania, tell me about this portable Playstation. I have seen them but explain how they work!?!? Is that PSP?? I think my nephews have them, maybe?? Clueless as you can tell.
Daniel - where's that first iPod? Don't you want to gift it to someone?? Laughs!! I bid on a Malibu Rum iPod and lost. It ended up closing at $90. It had 2gig on it and some more ish.

I've got an Mpio Fe100, 1 Gb memory, Radio, Mic recorder, just a little broken... When i was in a hospital i was sleep walking, or to be more exact, sleep baseballing... And found my self standing with my arm lifted up and a smashed MP3 player on the floor... Now need a rubber band to hold the battery in...
Preveously i had a Sony Walkman casette player, then an Sony Walkman CD player which i broke when my girlfriend tried tried to take away from me )))

I still haven't found a need to have any of these. I can use my lil portable HD to access stuff if it's needed.

Di, don't you go out anywhere? I mean to the city? I bring mine almost anywhere... If i'm going shopping to downtown, or have a longer distance to go to meet up with friends... Damn... I use it every time i smoke )) I'm a bloody music freak!@!

That's the problem PL, I rip and run so much I have no time to carry music anywhere. I put Shaggy's new cd in the car, it took me two more days to remember it was there. (laughs) I am not as big of a music "freak" as I used to be and then those portable things were portable CD players.... I never carried that unless on a job that I could sit it down and listen to it. I went all out getting one that was bump-proof spending over $100 and more OK?
Pretty much my silence time is just GOLDEN these days!! The older I get, the less noise I want to hear - from anything. Old age, what can ya do....

That's it! If i will want to turn of the music i'll go suicidal, my MP3 player is one of my best friends, i carry him everywhere... I don't want to sit somewhere quietly without any music... That's old people style ))) You know what ... F**k it... I'm gonna listen to my music till i die, don't care if i won't like to listen to them, i will still listen to them that i would know that i'm still a music freak! (LOL don't know what i just said...Will need to read later, maybe edit a little)
I didn't even notice this thread..

PL - you're sicko. But yeah, you are really big into music as we all can see. I have a connection to my portable stereo that sounds real nice too. I don't have my big stereo set up anymore. My desktops have real nice speakers units attached to them though. I had to buy Altec Lansing's for the lappy to get any sound at all. PL, you have good sound when not connected to the stereo, lappy wise?? You know Bose is in HP's lappys now.
BTW - on my TV, I have this awesome SRS Home Theater Dolby Digital whatever else there can be. I blow the neighbors outta their cribs almost every weekend.

Laptop speakers suck... Now when i live in the kitchen i use headphones because HP Altec Lansing integraded speakers are really lame...
Earlier i used Logitech 2.1 speakers, the sound wasn't that bad, but not long ago i bought a cable to connect my laptop to my Samsung Music Centre, And the sound is awesome ))))

Yeah, I share the same sentiment about lappy sound. AWE-FUL!! You know what, I might be wrong about Bose being in HP. You are right, I think it is AL's. I'll research it more later on. Anyhow, so, it's still bad after all that???? Dang. (dang is for shoot, darn it or damn for anyone reading the Japanese ;) )
I have a Creative system on my one desktop and a Altec Lansing set on the other defunct system. Both kick arse for me. I don't need all that much sound, just a wee bit. I wish my lappy had that finger print reader. I was going to by it seperate but thought it was a waste. Has to be integrated for ease of use. I know I will never come off of AMD processors as for PC's are concerned - ever!!

Fingerprint reader, i don't even know what that thing is for...
I would like that my laptop would be with a touchscreen... damn... That would make my day a lot easier... + It's cool and with it it's easy to create masterpeaces even on MS paint )))
Yeah, i'm on AMD too... My preveous Desktop had an AMD Duron 800Mhz processor )))

Stand Alone FR (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=093)
There are lappys that have them integrated now PL. And yeah, touch screen would be damn awesome!! One desktop has 2600+ AMD and I forget on the other one. I think the lappy is a 3300+??? Forgot now.
